Where did all these
templates come from?
We searched high and low and collected these templates into one "easy to use" cd. Look below on how to submit your own custom template including your company's info in the file. Most of the templates have their creator's contact info and website in the file, please check out their website for additional info and sales information.

Which programs can
I use these templates in?
File formats have been divided into one of four categories. Eps files (Illustrator 9.0+ or Freehand), Pagemaker files (Pagemaker 6.5+), Quark files (Quark 4.11+), and Psd files (Photoshop 6.0+). These templates were made on a PC but will work on a MAC as well. There is a bonus folder included called "Graphics Tips". This folder includes PDF files with numerous graphic design tips and helps for each of the above programs. There is also a "Zipped Originals" folder which contains some of the original, unedited templates. Look below on how to submit your custom help/tip PDF file for inclusion on the next release.

Which programs can
I use these sign borders in?
File formats for the sign templates are in EPS format only. Once opened in Illustrator or Freehand, they can be edited, transformed, rotated, etc. They are in outline format so they can be cut on any cnc router or vinyl cutter. You can also use them just for proofing your next sign proposal to your client (and then subcontract the job to someone else). The file can also be placed in Quark, but not edited.

Email us and attach your file, include your company's logo, website, and contact info in the template file. We cannot pay you for the template/tip; however, we will keep your company info in the file so that users know where to go for more tips or templates.

PANTONE
solid to process plug ins........

In May of 2000, Pantone introduced new editions of the PANTONE formula guide containing PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM Colors. The major changes included brighter paper stocks, a matte coated edition, and the addition of 147 new designer-inspired colors. The PANTONE solid to process guide coated was also revised, with a digital CTP workflow to provide better simulations of the PANTONE Colors, which are achievable equally under an analog, digital or combination workflow. As a result of these changes, the CMYK values used in the PANTONE solid to process guide coated differ from earlier editions.

Subsequent to this introduction, the major software vendors have begun to introduce updates to their software. Currently, Adobe® Photoshop® 7, Adobe Illustrator® 10, and QuarkXPress™ 5 contain support for the 147 new PANTONE Colors, as well as the revised CMYK simulation values. For those users working with older versions of the above, as well as other applications that do not provide support, Pantone is pleased to offer support files, which will allow the revised colors to be imported to documents within the applications on a document-by-document basis.
